  • Razor blades are never allowed in carry-on luggage for flights per TSA regulations. Securely wrap and put them in your checked luggage if you want to take them with you.

The razor itself is in theory okay to fly in your carry-on without any blades (as of this writing). However, we have heard reports that some folks have had their razor confiscated at security. We recommend reviewing the TSA website for the most up-to-date info on what is allowed in your luggage and packing the razor disassembled to reduce the likelihood that TSA has to check it for blades.

However, TSA security protocols can and do change and ultimately the final decision on what is allowed through security is up to the TSA agent, so attempting to take a razor through security in your carry-on is at your own risk! We recommend putting your razor along with the blades into your checked luggage if that’s an option.

  • Our wood travel cases are pre-treated with penetrating oil to protect the wood and ensure longevity, but there are a few basic steps you can take to ensure your case lasts a lifetime.

In summary: don't put the case near any fire or heat source, make sure you reapply oil every few years, and if you have to wash the case with soap, spot treat and reapply oil right after washing.
